Salonkee’s service categories have been updated to better reflect all of Salonkee’s
salon’s diverse offerings and to ensure that customers easily find the services that
they are looking for.
What's Changed?
New categories:
Barber: for beard-related services,
Tattoo and Piercing: a comprehensive new category covering various tattoo and piercing services.
Enriched categories:
Hairstylists: Now a unisex category with added sub-categories like afro hair, bridal hair, permanent hair straightening, and more. 'Shampoo' is also added as a subcategory (not available for online booking).
Massage: Expanded massage zones and techniques such as foot massages, full body massages, and lymphatic drainage massages.
Nails: Updated to include a wider range of subcategories such as Russian manicures, acrylic nails and BIAB.
Hair removal: Updated to include a wider range of subcategories, such as different waxing zones and permanent removal techniques.
Face care and makeup: Now divided into 'Facial and Skin treatments' for skincare and 'Eyebrows and makeup' for cosmetic services, each with detailed subcategories.
Wellbeing and alternative techniques: Enhanced with new services such as cupping, pilates, and life coaching.
Other: For unique services not fitting into the above categories - they won't be visible or bookable online.
Automatice Service Mapping
The majority of salon's services have been automatically assigned from their 'old' Salonkee service categories to the new service categories. However, services that didn't fit any category were placed under 'Other'.
❗These services need be manually reassigned by salon owners. Leaving them in the 'Other' category is not advisable, as it makes them unavailable for online booking.
How to review and reassign service in categories:
Log into your Salonkee Pro account
Navigate to (1) 'My Salon', then (2) 'Services'.
3. Select the service treatment that requires a different service category.
4. Click on (4) ‘Service Category’ and re-assign it to the correct category.
5. Confirm your changes by clicking on ‘Confirm’ (5).
