Find out if your salon is eligible for the Google 'Book online' button on your Google Business Profile and how to set it up.

We are proud to announce that Salonkee is an official Google partner for implementing the 'Book online' button on your Google Business profile. This partnership allows us to activate this feature for salons on the Salonkee platform.

What is the Google 'Book online' button?

This button redirects people to your Salonkee page straight from your Google Business Profile, increasing your chances of bookings.

How to set up the Google 'Book online' button:

Step 1: Verify that the 'Reserve Online' button is already present on your Google Business Profile

Salonkee activated this feature automatically for many salons. Here's how to check if you are one of them:

  • Head to Google Maps.

  • Look for your salon's name and address.

  • Click on the corresponding result: The 'Book online' button is located above your salon's information.

Don't have the Google 'Book online' button?

Here are three possible reasons why:

  1. You do not have a Google Business Profile or have not yet claimed it. Create a profile (Step 2) and then proceed to Step 4 of this article.

  2. We were unable to automatically match your Google Business Profile with the information we have on Salonkee. Move to Step 4 of this article.

  3. Your business category is not eligible: Google has defined several business categories for eligible for the 'Book online' button. Refer to Step 3 of this article for more details.

Step 2: Create or Update Your Google Business Profile

To activate the Google 'Book online' button, you must first have a Google Business Profile with an address and phone number matching your Salonkee profile.

1: Sign in with your existing Google Business account or create one.

2: Ensure your address details are correct. Verify that your salon's address on your Google Business profile matches the one on your Salonkee webpage profile.

3: Ensure your contact details are correct. Verify that your salon's phone number on your Google Business profile matches the one on your Salonkee webpage profile.

Step 3: Verify Your Business Category

Not all salons qualify for the Google 'Book online' button. This feature is only available for salons with a Google Business Profile in an eligible category.

Important note:

Google determines which business categories are eligible for this feature - Salonkee does not control this. If your salon does not fall into an eligible category, you will not be able to access this feature.

  • Barber shop

  • Beautician

  • Beauty salon

  • Cosmetic shop

  • Dental hygienist

  • Electrolysis hair removal service

  • Eyebrow bar

  • Eyelash salon

  • Foot care

  • Gym

  • Har extensions supplier

  • Hair removal service

  • Hairdresser

  • Health and beauty shop

  • Make-up artist

  • Massage spa

  • Massage therapist

  • Nail salon

  • Naturopath

  • Permanent make-up clinic

  • Pet Groomer

  • Podiatrist

  • Sauna

  • Sauna Club

  • Sauna shop

  • Skin care clinic

  • Spa (all kinds of spas)

  • Spa and health club

  • Sports massage therapist

  • Tanning salon

  • Thai massage therapist

  • Tattoo shop

  • Tattoo artist

  • Tattoo-removal service

  • Waxing hair-removal service

  • Wellness center

Step 4: Send us the Google Maps URL of your Business Profile

If you've updated your Google Business Profile and your salon is in an eligible category, the next step is to send us your salon's Google Maps URL so we can match it in the Salonkee system and enable the 'Book online' button.

How to obtain your Google Maps URL

Please note that it can take Google up to 7 days to activate this feature.
