Minimise Time Gaps in Your Calendar
A really important update that we made to online bookings is to help you minimise time gaps between appointments.
Enable Adaptive Timeslots
To reduce unnecessary time breaks between appointments:
How it works:
Traditionally, clients could only make online appointments at fixed intervals (e.g., 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, etc.). This often left employees with gaps of 5–25 minutes between appointments.
With adaptive timeslots enabled, the system automatically offers more online booking slots—such as 9:25 or 10:10—based on when an employee’s previous appointment ends.
For example:
If an employee’s appointment ends at 09:25—a client can now book immediately at 09:25 instead of waiting until 09:30.

If an employee’s appointment ends at 10:10—previously the next slot would be at 10:30; now clients can book at 10:10.

👉 These small optimisations significantly reduce downtime and keep your team’s schedule running efficiently.
Updated Employee Settings
We updated the settings so that you can easily assign specific services to different employees. The reason for this being that maybe not all employees may be qualified to perform certain services. This updated setting is an easy way to avoid the chance of an employee being accidentally booked for a service that they are not qualified to perform.
How to Assign specific services to Employees
Navigate to My Salon > Employees > Employee Management > to view all employees.
Click an employee to see the list of services they offer.
Unchecking a service means that the employee is not assigned to that service.
Checking a service means that the employee can perform that service, you can decide whether the service is bookable in-salon only or both in-salon and online.
Decide which customers are eligible for certain employees:
You can also now specify which customers can book with each employee:
All customers: any client can book with this employee.
Returning customers only: only clients who have visited the salon before can book with this employee.
Personal list: only clients who have visited the salon and seen this specific employee before can book with this employee again.
💡 Tip: You can tailor these settings for each employees’ needs. For example, the salon owner may choose to accept bookings only from their existing clients.
Assign Employee Roles
In each employee’s Miscellaneous tab, you can assign a role (e.g., Junior, Senior).
These roles enable dynamic pricing, allowing you to set different service prices based on the employee’s level of experience.
Pricing Settings
Go to Service settings, click on a service, and head to the Service Information tab. Under Advanced Settings , you can enable Dynamic Pricing by assigning different rates to different employee roles, for example: a junior might earn €45 for the service, and a senior might earn €50 for the service.
Salonkee will automatically apply the correct price based on the employee booked.
💳 Online Promo Codes
Promo codes can now be applied directly during online booking.
Previously, promo codes could only be added in-salon—now your customers can enjoy discounts when booking online.
This is an automatic update and you don’t have to do anything if you already have the promo code setting enabled. This is how it looks like when customers make a booking:
⚙️ Redesigned Service Settings
Now let's move on to our BIG update, which concerns service configuration. We have also thoroughly revised the service settings.
The layout has been redesigned to be clearer and easier to use, with tabs on the left.
Now, let’s run you through all the new layout changes and settings:
Booking Options & Restrictions
We’ve updated this setting to make it much easier and convenient for you to adjust the settings for each service in your salon.
Assigning Employees to a Service
Select which employees are linked to each service.
Decide whether each service is bookable in-salon only or also available online.
Booking Restrictions
You can now define the times that a service is available within specific days, for example: a haircut is bookable only on Fridays, 12 PM–5 PM.
Limit the number of times a service can be performed per employee per day. Example: Restrict a strenuous massage service to 3 times per day.
✨ With these updates, you have greater control and efficiency in managing your salon’s bookings and services.
