Promo codes are an excellent way to boost your salon's activity during the holidays. Offering timely promotions can help you attract new customers and get your current customers to come back more often.
❗️Please note: Please be aware that promo codes can only be applied at checkout at your store and cannot be used for online bookings. When promoting your promo codes, ensure your customers are aware of this limitation.
How to get access
Log in to your Salonkee account.
Once on the dashboard, check if the Promo Codes feature is enabled. If you do not find it in the salon settings, it may not have been activated. Contact our support team to activate it.
1. Setting up a new promotional code.
Once the feature is activated, click on My Salon.
Look for the new Promo Codes area and click on it. You will find a list of existing promotional codes. To create a new one, click on the 'Add New' or 'Create' button. Give the promo code a descriptive title, for example, 'August Massage Offer' or any other name that will help you identify the offer later.
You can also add a brief description, but remember that this description is only visible to the salon and will not be displayed to customers.
2. Choose the type of discount and eligible services/products.
Decide whether the discount will be a percentage or a fixed amount.
For example, you can set a discount of 20% or €20.
Then select the services or products you want to make eligible for this promotion.
Check the boxes corresponding to the services/products concerned.
3. Set the availability of the promotional code.
Choose a start date for the promotion. If you want it to be available only in August, set the start date to the beginning of August.
You can also set an end date to limit the use of the promo code to a specific period.
Decide whether the promo code can be used multiple times by the same customer or only once. For example, for a discount aimed at students, you might want them to be able to use it multiple times, but for a one-time offer, select 'Once per customer'.
4. Save the promotional code
Click on the 'Save' or 'Create' button to save the newly created promo code offer.
5. Use the promotional code at checkout.
When you register and cash out a customer, look for the option to apply a promotional code.
If active promotional codes are available, they will appear in blue. Inactive or future promotional codes will be grayed out until their effective date is reached.
Select the promo code that the customer wishes to use for their purchase.
6. Verify that the promo code has been applied correctly.
After applying the promo code, check the receipt to ensure that the discount has been applied to the eligible services or products.
If a service or product is not eligible, the promo code will not apply to it and the price will remain unchanged.
7. Access to Promo Code Statistics.
To track the usage of your promotional codes and their impact, go to the promotional codes dashboard.
The dashboard displays the frequency of use of each promo code, the number of customers who have used it, and the total value of sales before and after the discount is applied.
You can also view this information by employee if you want to know which employees are using specific promotional codes.

Please note that currently, promo codes cannot be applied when customers make appointments through the platform. This feature may be added in a future update.
