The Flexible Breaks feature allows the system to automatically adjust the start or end of a break so it fits perfectly between appointments and avoids idle time in your schedule.

⚙️ Enabling Flexible Breaks
Before you can use this feature, you must enable it in your account settings:
Log into your Salonkee Pro account.
Navigate to My Salon in the top menu.
Click on Settings and then select General.
Under the Calendar section, locate and click on Enable flexible breaks.
👤 Setting up recurring Flexible Breaks
You can set permanent flexibility rules for an employee’s standard weekly schedule:
Navigate to Employees and then select Employee Management.
Click on a specific employee.
Choose between Start a new week schedule or Adjust individual dates.
Click directly on the Lunch Break block.
A window will open allowing you to toggle the lunch break to Flexible.
🗓️ Adjusting Flexible Breaks directly in the Calendar
If you need to make a quick adjustment to a single break on a specific day, you can manage it directly from your schedule:
Go to your Calendar.
Click directly on a Lunch Break block.
Set the flexible break range and save.
Visual Indicator: Once a break is flexible, an arrow icon will appear at the top right of the lunch break block.
Note: If you manually move a break, the system will automatically display the flexible range on-screen as you drag the block.
⚡ How Flexible Breaks Impact Bookings
Instead of acting like a wall, flexible breaks shift automatically to make room for your clients in three ways:
More Choice Online: The system looks at your "flexible" range and offers online clients more slots. If they pick a time that overlaps with a break, the system slides the break over instantly.
Smarter Availability Finder: When booking over the phone, the Availability Finder accounts for movable breaks to show extra openings. Once a slot is picked, the calendar moves the break for you.
Effortless Drag-and-Drop: If you drag an appointment onto a flexible break, the break will automatically jump out of the way to accommodate the new time, keeping the schedule error-free.
