You can now fully customize the validity period of your gift vouchers. Since regulations vary by country, please ensure your chosen expiration date complies with local consumer protection laws.
How to configure your gift voucher expiration date
Log into your Salonkee Pro account.
Navigate to My Salon at the top of your screen.
Click on Settings and then select General.
Scroll down to the Accounting section.
Locate the Voucher Expiry settings.
Here you can define the duration for which your vouchers will remain valid after the purchase. Once saved, this expiration date will automatically apply to all new online gift vouchers.
Tracking Expiration Dates
To help you manage validity, we have updated several areas of your Salonkee Pro account:
Gift Voucher Dashboard: You can now view the specific expiration date for every voucher directly in your main Gift Voucher overview.
Customer Files: When viewing a client’s profile, past appointments and transaction history will now display the expiration date of any voucher that was sold to them.
Redeeming Expired Vouchers in the POS
We understand that sometimes you may want to honor a voucher even if it is technically past its date.
When a voucher is scanned or entered into the POS:
The system will automatically check the expiration date.
If the voucher has expired: You will see a notification alerting you that the validity period has passed.
You have the choice: You are not blocked from accepting it. You can choose to override the warning and allow the voucher to be redeemed, or you can decline it based on your salon's policy.
What your clients will see
When a voucher is generated with your new settings, the expiration date will be visible at the bottom of the online gift voucher, as shown in the following image.
