📅 Creating online discounted gift vouchers
Log into your Salonkee Pro account.
Click on “My Salon” at the top of your screen
On the left sidebar, navigate to “Payments” and then “Online payments”.
In the “Vouchers” settings, customise your voucher by clicking on “Edit”
Example: Create a voucher that’s the value of €100 with a 10% online discount, making the discounted price €90.
5. Click “Save” to confirm your settings.
🫴 Creating in-store discounted gift vouchers
Log into your Salonkee Pro account.
Click on “POS” at the top of your screen.
Select “New ticket” from the left margin.
Click on “Vouchers” within the POS screen.
Click “Sell voucher” to create a new voucher.
6. Enter the voucher value and click “Add.”
7. Generate a random coupon code or enter the custom coupon code and click “Save.”
8. You will now see the voucher on the right hand side of the POS screen.
9. Apply a discount by clicking on the voucher; a screen will pop up where you can adjust the discount. Click “Confirm.” (For example, you can apply a 10% discount on the gift voucher)
10. The gift voucher and its discount will now be visible on your POS screen.
🎫 Redeem a discounted gift voucher
Log into your Salonkee Pro account.
Click on “POS” at the top of your screen.
Select “New ticket” from the left margin.
Click on “Vouchers” within the POS screen.
Click “Redeem voucher” to apply the voucher at checkout.
6. Enter the unique voucher code and press “Add”.
7. The discounted voucher will now be visible in the POS and you can click on “Pay now”.
💰How is VAT Treated on Discounted Voucher Sales?
When a discounted voucher is sold, Salonkee Pro applies VAT only to the revenue actually received from the sale of the voucher at that time. When the discounted voucher is later used to purchase products or services, Salonkee automatically adjusts the VAT on the ticket. This ensures that the correct amount of VAT is applied and reflected accurately in your transaction history and monthly reports.
The VAT breakdown from the redemption of discounted vouchers can be found either in:
the "Transaction History" within the "POS" tab; or
the "Monthly report" underneath "Sales and growth" in the "Dashboard" tab.
